The more backward 2022 Pintas has the nose of a dry Port, all violets, ripe plums and aromatic herbs, with plenty of spices, toast and smoke from the élevage in French oak barrels, 20% of them new, for 20 months. It needs time to integrate the oak and polish the tannins. 6,000 bottles produced. Made up of 100% Touriga Nacional grape comes the Pinteivera, which has a lovely bouquet of violets, strawberries and mineral note. The palate is medium bodied and dry showing ripe red fruits, juicy acidity with mineral undertones on the elegant structured and long finish.
