Bojador
Alentejo - Portugal
Tasting Notes
Branco Bojador is a blend of 50% Antão Vaz, 30% Arinto and 20% Alvarinho, unoaked and coming in at 12.5% alcohol. It was made with a wild ferment. This has a spicy and fresh feel, appealingly bright despite the high percentage of Antão Vaz, a grape that normally seems a bit flat. However, this is from the subregion of Vidigueira where it is supposed to be at its best and fresher. It certainly succeeds, with a surprisingly long finish and elegant demeanor.
